What's the difference between a Nile cruise ship and a dahabiya?

A Nile cruise ship is a large motor vessel, typically 40 to 80 cabins over four or five decks with a pool and restaurants. A dahabiya is a small wind-powered sailing boat of roughly 4 to 12 cabins, quieter, slower and more intimate, mooring at islands the big ships pass by.

Most Nile cruises run 3 nights (Aswan to Luxor), 4 nights (Luxor to Aswan) or 7 nights (a round trip), sailing the corridor between Luxor and Aswan and stopping at Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo.
