Good to know
Queen Farida is a 8-cabin sailing dahabiya on the Esna to Aswan reach, sailing itineraries of 5 or 7 nights with full board. Dahabiyas trade big-ship bustle for quiet water: island moorings, sails over engines, and temple mornings before the coaches arrive. Rates move with dates and cabins, so every sailing is quoted live.

About Queen Farida
Queen Farida is a 45-metre dahabiya, 7.5 metres wide, taking up to 16 guests in eight rooms. Six Luxury Cabins of about 15 m2 have three panoramic sliding windows, real-wood parquet and a Siwa salt-crystal lamp, with either twin or king-size beds; the two 22 m2 suites add a private balcony and a king-size bed.
Departures leave Esna on Sundays, either sailing five nights to Aswan or making a seven-night round trip back to Esna. Egyptian cuisine is served in an open-air restaurant on the covered upper deck, with a four-course dinner menu each evening and tea at sunset. A lounge bar holds a library and flat-screen TV, and reception has free Wi-Fi. The boat travels with a tug and uses one soundproofed generator, switching to solar power at night.
