Good to know
Sandrine is a 8-cabin sailing dahabiya on the Esna to Aswan reach, sailing itineraries of 5 or 7 nights. Dahabiyas trade big-ship bustle for quiet water: island moorings, sails over engines, and temple mornings before the coaches arrive. Rates move with dates and cabins, so every sailing is quoted live.

About Sandrine
Sandrine is a 33-metre dahabiya built in 2019, laid out over two full decks and a sundeck with just eight rooms: six Luxury Cabins of about 15 m2 with two large windows, and two Suites of about 21 m2, each with its own terrace. Cabins have air conditioning, a walk-in shower, satellite TV, minibar, safe and a tea and coffee maker.
It sails from Luxor to Aswan on five- and seven-night itineraries, calling at Esna, El Kab, Edfu, Gebel el-Silsila and Kom Ombo, with an overnight mooring at Fawaza Island and a private barbecue dinner on Beshir Island. Meals are taken in the lounge and dining area or out on the sundeck, which also has a bar and a jacuzzi. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided, and the boat runs on silent generators, with smoke detectors and sprinklers fitted.

What is included in the fare on Sandrine?
A dahabiya fare of this kind normally covers your cabin on full board, entrance to the temples named in the itinerary, an Egyptologist guide, the listed shore excursions and transfers at each end. Tips, drinks, optional excursions such as Abu Simbel, and personal expenses are normally extra. Whether soft drinks, Wi-Fi and service charges sit inside the fare genuinely differs between operators, so confirm those for Sandrine before booking.
