Farouz El Nil I

Farouz El Nil I is a small wind-powered dahabiya that carries just twelve guests across six deluxe cabins of 16 square metres each, spread over three decks. Built in 2018, it sails the classic stretch of the Nile between Luxor and Aswan, calling at Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo on itineraries of five or seven nights.

Each cabin has panoramic windows, a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, adjustable air-conditioning, a minibar and an in-cabin safety box. Because the boat is small and moves under sail, days pass at an unhurried pace along the river.

Onboard there is a main restaurant, a lounge and salon, and a sun deck with its own bar for open-air dining. Reception is staffed around the clock, and a doctor is available on call.
