About Poppee
Poppee is a Nour El Nil dahabiya of ten cabins for up to twenty guests, built with airy, light-filled interiors and unusually generous suites. The five-night, six-day passage runs from Esna to Aswan, drifting past El Kab, Edfu, Gebel el-Silsila and Kom Ombo along roughly 250 kilometres of the Nile.
Days balance temple visits with the pace of sailing: an unhurried Esna, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the narrowing river and sandstone quarries at Gebel el-Silsila, and swimming from the boat on the open sailing day. Wide shaded decks are the heart of the boat, gathering guests under the sails.
Meals, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are all included, served in the open air on deck, with a salon and lounge below. Poppee operates year-round apart from the peak summer heat of June to August.
