About Amunet

Amunet is a 47-metre, two-mast sailing dahabiya built in 2018, with three decks, eight double cabins and two suites. It sails the six-day, five-night route from Esna to Aswan, mooring near El Hegz Island, the private island of El Fouza and overnight beside the illuminated Gebel el-Silsila temple.

Between sailing legs the itinerary takes in Edfu Temple by horse carriage, the Greco-Roman temple at Kom Ombo, and Philae and the High Dam at Aswan. The boat carries two sails and an accompanying motorboat for days when the wind drops.

Full-board Egyptian cuisine runs throughout, with a dinner ashore on El Fouza island and afternoon tea. A library and terrace, a salon-bar and a broad sun deck give room to relax as the river passes.
