About MS Tosca
Built in 2009 and marketed by Uniworld as River Tosca, this all-suite ship carries 41 suites for up to 82 guests, with a staff-to-guest ratio close to 1:1. Thirty-nine Grand Suites of roughly 30 m² have French balconies, custom beds with Egyptian cotton linens and marble bathrooms, while two Royal Suites of about 60 m² add a living room and two balconies. Interiors were designed by the Red Carnation Hotel Collection team, with original artwork and wood panelling.
The 82-seat restaurant serves buffet breakfast and lunch and à la carte dinners of international and Egyptian cuisine, with a lounge and full-service bar and a rooftop bar above. The sun deck holds shaded cabanas and a swimming pool, and the ship adds a fitness centre, a massage room and a library.
Sold both within Uniworld's longer Cairo-to-Cairo programme and by Egyptian operators as three- and four-night sailings between Luxor and Aswan, the route calls at Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo, with Abu Simbel, a felucca sail and a Nubian village visit among the options.
