Overview

You’ll begin with pickup at your Cairo hotel and travel to the Garden City dock to meet a river boat for a cruise along the Nile. Leave the shore behind as the captain steers into the river and settle in for an evening of music, dancing and food. Arabic melodies accompany a pre-dinner belly-dance performance, after which you’ll help yourself to an unlimited open buffet. The spread typically includes hot and cold dishes such as rice, pasta, chicken, fish, beef and salads, with desserts and fresh fruit to finish. Later in the evening, tanoura dancers — dervishes who spin continuously to traditional Sufi music — perform a second show that reflects an important aspect of Egyptian religious tradition. After the entertainment, climb to the top deck for an open-air view of the passing shoreline and a different perspective on the bustling capital.
