Overview

Trade the crowded resort beaches for a fast, private-feeling speedboat run out to Hurghada's most beautiful islands. Leaving the marina, you skim across the turquoise water of the Red Sea toward the Giftun Islands, a protected marine park where the reefs are alive with clouds of anthias, parrotfish and the occasional turtle. You make two snorkelling stops at different reefs, with time in the water at each and gear provided, so beginners and confident swimmers alike can drift over the coral in warm, clear conditions. Between reefs you land on a dazzling white sandbar — Paradise Island or Orange Bay — where the sand is powder-soft and the shallows are an unreal shade of blue, perfect for swimming, sunbathing or simply wading out into the calm. A lunch is served on board or on the island, and the small, nimble speedboat means less time travelling and more time in the water than the big group boats. With hotel pickup and drop-off included, it is an effortless full day of the Red Sea at its best — vivid reefs, empty white beaches and that impossibly clear water Hurghada is famous for.
