Overzicht
In Luxor begint u met een ballonvaart boven de Vallei der Koningen, waarbij u boven de oude necropolis en de omliggende Nijlvallei zweeft. Vanuit de lucht zie je de indeling van het landschap en krijg je een ander perspectief op de monumenten, voordat je je reis over de grond vervolgt. Na de vlucht maakt u een dagtocht langs de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden op zowel de Westelijke als de Oostelijke Oever. Je bezoekt de Vallei der Koningen (de necropolis van Thebe), verkent de tempel van koningin Hatshepsut in Deir el Bahari en ziet de Kolossen van Memnon. Aan de oostelijke oever kunt u het uitgestrekte tempelcomplex van Karnak en de nabijgelegen tempel van Luxor bewonderen. Everything went according to schedule and it was a wonderful experience. I contacted the company in advance and they helped me with all possible information and questions I had. Khalid, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and was an amazing guide. He could answer all possible questions we had and knew exactly where to take pictures that were worth while. Had an absolutely amazing time with this tour. Started off bright and early where they picked us up from our hotel and took us to the balloon launch site. This alone made the tour worth while, watching probably 30-40 balloons all launch at once and to see the sun rise over Luxor. This was our first time in a balloon and naturally have a fear of heights, but I can assure you it was one of the most comfortable peaceful things we've experienced and very glad to have done it. Great experience, great guide, good lunch. Best tour in Luxor. Start’s earlier, about 5am, and we must be prepared to the hard conditions of weather (43ºc), but at the end it was very interesting and complete.
Hot Air Balloon take off and landing was super smooth. The pillars at the Karnak Temple were amazing.
