Overview
In Luxor, you’ll begin with a hot-air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, floating above the ancient necropolis and the surrounding Nile valley. From the air you’ll see the layout of the landscape and get a different perspective on the monuments before continuing on the ground. After the flight, you’ll take a full-day tour of the key sites on both the West Bank and East Bank. You’ll visit the Valley of the Kings (the Necropolis of Thebes), explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, and see the Colossi of Memnon. On the East Bank you’ll experience the vast Karnak Temple complex and the nearby Luxor Temple. A licensed Egyptologist will guide you, sharing historical context and insights as you move through each site. Transport between locations is provided in an air-conditioned vehicle.
