Overview

If you have ever wondered what life was like thousands of years ago, the Philae Temple Sound and Light Show will give you a vivid impression. Set at the historic Philae Temple, the production uses sound and light to illuminate the ancient monuments and evoke the atmosphere of the past. As the temple is lit, scenes from antiquity are hinted at through carefully timed audio and lighting effects. Throughout the performance you will be guided through an interpretation of daily life in those earlier times. The show aims to make it easier to imagine how people lived and how the temple functioned within their world. Along the way you will see the temple’s architecture transformed by the lighting and hear the soundscape that accompanies the visual display, helping to bring the history of Philae into focus.
