Overview

On this half-day tour of Luxor’s West Bank, you will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor or from your Nile cruise and taken across the Nile to explore some of Ancient Egypt’s most famous sites. The visit focuses on the West Bank and its concentration of funerary monuments and monumental statues. You will visit the Valley of the Kings, where the burial places of pharaohs are set into the desert hills. You will also see the Temple of Hatshepsut, the distinctive terraced mortuary temple of Egypt’s famous female ruler. Nearby stand the two colossal statues known as the Colossi of Memnon, an impressive pair of seated figures that mark the western bank’s archaeological landscape. As you move between the sites, you will take in the scale and history of these ancient constructions. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor or to your Nile cruise.
