We did the full five day cruise and the ship became our home. One night the engine made a weird noise and I got worried but the captain fixed it before sunrise. That honesty made me trust the crew more. The experience taught me that Nile cruises are not just about temples but about slowing down. Admission fee seemed expensive but it included the small group to Abu Simbel which was a highlight. Length of visit allowed us to see everything without feeling exhausted. Atmosphere in the evenings was festive with a local music show. Crowd size was perfect about thirty people never fighting for deck
