This experience combines overnight rail travel and a Nile River cruise while you explore some of Upper Egypt’s most famous ancient sites. You will sleep on board a train as you travel between Cairo and Upper Egypt, then visit the Giza pyramids—the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World—and the Egyptian Museum, which houses well preserved mummies and many ancient artifacts. As you move through these sites, you’ll learn about their history and see the monuments up close. You will travel to Aswan and board a luxury Nile cruise bound for Luxor, with stops along the way. The cruise will take in sights at Edfu and sail on to Esna. In Luxor, you will stroll among the ruins of Karnak, an extensive temple complex built over millennia, and admire the grandeur of Luxor Temple.
