Overview

You will sail along the Nile from Luxor to Aswan on a private cruise, accompanied by a private Egyptologist guide. Along the way you will explore both the East and West Banks of Luxor, visiting Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, and entering the Valley of the Kings. You will also see the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut as you move through the region’s ancient sites and take in the contrast between lush riverbanks and the surrounding golden desert. The cruise continues to Edfu to visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus, then to Kom Ombo to explore the twin temples dedicated to Sobek and Horus. In Aswan you will learn about the modern engineering of the High Dam, visit the island-setting Philae Temple dedicated to Isis, and view the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries. Onboard a luxury Nile cruise ship you will relax with comfortable accommodation, delicious meals and panoramic views of the Nile Valley as you travel between these historic sites.
