The best about the experience was the extraordinary English of our guide. The first part was really frustrating, as they brought us to Giza, which is not stated in the program. There we were supposed to have a shopping experience at a spices, parfume and cotton shop. The overall impression ww were left with was, that everyone was trying to sell overpriced stuff to tourists. The prices were comparable to German ones or even more. At the spice shop we had to deal with a really unpleasant situation of not respecting our wishes to put us a smaller quantity of spices in the bag and after the fifth

Basem is a terrific guide! He took us to some high quality shops for papyrus, spices, and jewelry. Our next stop was lunch, which was delicious lamb shwarma (Basem asks for your preferences, so you have several choices.) Lunch was delicious. Next was the bazaar.
