Cairo Cooking Class with an Egyptian Family

This is a MUST experience if you are visiting Cairo, Ahmed and his family are a joy to be around, this makes you feel like you are a egyptian yourself, they greet you at their home, you get to walk around the home, they are so knowledgeable too.

Ahmed and Shorouk welcomed us into their home and gave us a memorable experience! Great opportunity to see the real life of an Egyptian family and learn more about their culture! Would definitely recommend!

It was like I had a cousin in Egypt who welcomed me in for dinner! I truly enjoyed the meal and the company. The family was incredibly welcoming, making me feel comfortable very quickly. I don't speak Arabic, but their English is great. We talked for hours. If you like an off-the-beaten-path, inside look at living in Egypt, this is a must do! I will absolutely do this again when I return to Cairo.

This was a fun experience, as interacting with locals and learning about what life is like there can be some of the most enriching activities when traveling. Ahmed and Shorouk gave a warm welcome and were eager to talk and share about their lives, as well as take an interest in their guests. Ahmed explained that one of the main reasons they started hosting these evenings several years ago was so that their daughters would have the chance to meet people from around the world, which I thought was really cool and a pretty neat idea. If I could give this tour a 10, I would! It was amazing. Our hosts were the kindest, most delightful, and informative people. We cooked, ate, exchanged stories, and laughed for hours. The food was delicious and authentic. There are no words adequate to describe this experience. PLEASE don’t miss this! We will never forget our new Egyptian family!❤️❤️
