Présentation
Vous serez pris en charge à votre hôtel pour une excursion d'une journée à Alexandrie qui vous mènera vers plusieurs des sites les plus importants de la ville. Votre premier arrêt sera la colonne de Bompay, construite en l'honneur de l'empereur Dioclétien à la fin du IVe siècle et provenant à l'origine du temple des Sérapes. Vous visiterez ensuite les Catacombes, le plus grand cimetière romain de la région, composé de trois niveaux creusés dans la roche. Après le déjeuner dans un restaurant local d'Alexandrie, vous poursuivrez votre route vers la citadelle de Qaitbay, construite sur l'emplacement de l'ancien phare des pharaons d'Alexandrie. La visite comprend également un passage par la Bibliotheca Alexandrina. En chemin, vous découvrirez un mélange de monuments anciens et plus récents avant d'être ramené à votre hôtel au Caire.

Our day trip to Alexandria was as educational as it was entertaining! Huge shoutout to our driver, Ahmed Ali—possibly the only peaceful, non-honking driver in the entire city. He even stopped for elderly women to cross the street (what a legend). Meanwhile, our tour guide, Naelah, was fantastic! She spoke excellent English and took her time sharing all the fascinating details. And let’s not forget the ride—big, spacious, and perfect for a long, comfy drive. Highly recommend this experience!

Confirmed trip, 3 weeks b4. Day off said wrong address. Showed up 2.75 hours late. Only saw the Citadel.
A mixed experience overall. The driver was half an hour late and we were not warned at all. The petrol fumes which lingered in the car after refueling was no fun either. When we reached Alexandria we had to battle minor flooding due to the rain which is no one’s fault of course but the guide could have had umbrellas for us or altered the itinerary so that we started indoors to wait out the rain. I do think our guide overall was a good person who had a sincere wish to show us his wonderful city but I think better planning and preparation would have made all the difference. This was a fantastic day. Apart from a little miscommunication in the morning (which was 100%my fault), it was really great. Our driver Mohammed was great, answered all our questions and made sure we were comfortable on the drive to Alexandria. Our guide Eslam met us in Alexandria, and was funny, and extremely knowledgeable. He took us through catacombs and the library of Alexandria, and several other places as well. They were both very good with our kids (who are both on the spectrum), and really made us feel welcome in Egypt. 10/10 would recommend.
