A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will attend the Sound & Light show at Karnak Temple in Luxor. The production uses light and narration to explain how people lived thousands of years ago and to tell the story of Luxor, known in ancient times as Tiba. As you move through the temple complex, the show will describe Karnak’s role as one of the greatest centres of worship, dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. The narration will also outline the temple’s long building history, from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom through to the Greco‑Roman period. Along the way you will be taken around the temple grounds and the experience will finish with the final act played as you are seated beside the Great Sacred Lake, bringing the ancient site and its past status as a capital to life.
