Private Day Tour to Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum with Lunch

Overview

You will be picked up from your hotel by a representative for an excursion to the Giza Plateau to see the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. As you move around the site you will see the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren, and visit the nearby Valley Temple that belongs to Chephren’s pyramid. Along the way you will have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period and displays a rare collection spanning some 5,000 years of art, a collection that is considered one of the largest of its kind. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection — the treasure, gold and jewellery that remained in his tomb for more than 3,500 years until its discovery in the 1920s. Throughout the day you will have the chance to see these iconic monuments and museum pieces up close and learn about their place in ancient Egyptian history.
