Overview

This experience in Aswan combines a short land transfer and a river ride with a relaxed evening in a Nubian village. You will be picked up from your hotel or cruise by car and taken to the port. From there a motorboat will carry you to the Nubian village, arriving as the sun sets over the water. On arrival you will go into a traditional Nubian house to learn about local customs and enjoy a home-cooked barbecue dinner prepared by village hosts. After the meal you will be offered the most famous coffee or tea made by Nubian ladies. The hosts encourage conversation and will happily hear your preferences, so you can learn directly from them. This visit also supports the women who preserve and share their traditions. Overall, you will have a personal, home-style dining experience and a chance to connect with Nubian culture as the evening unfolds.
