It’s definitely a long day, but it was worth it. Abu Simbel was amazing, and our guide, Adam, was so knowledgeable and excited to share with us. He was also a great photographer! We ended up with some time because Abu Simbel was practically empty this time of year, so he was willing to add a quick stop in Aswan to see the unfinished obelisk and take a boat up the Nile for some tea in one of the local Nubian villages. Lunch outside Abu Simbel was delicious, as well. The communication with company before the tour was amazing—Amina was so helpful and willing to answer questions. We were hesitant
The tour worked for the allotted time we had. And it was nice they dropped us off at Aswan airport. And nice experience to see Abu Simbel. What would have made the journey better would have been a Wi-Fi hotspot in the car. Otherwise long drive with limited tour at Abu Simbel. But like I said it worked for our needs.
The best money I spent. The guide Kamal and the driver Abdalla were very polite and provided great hospitality. We felt secure from pick up to drop off, in fact they went out of their way to take me and my husband to buy a charger. The driver was on top of making us feel good providing water, refreshment mango juice and fruits( the best dates I ever tried in my life). The only thing that made me feel bad for them was how they have to hustle and how they get extortion by the police. These guys work very hard, but I guess is the system.
