Overview

This West Bank day tour of Luxor takes you to three of the area’s most famous attractions. You will be met with a private transfer from your hotel or Nile cruise and cross the Nile River to the West Bank to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. The temple is one of the most striking monuments in Egypt and you will learn about Hatshepsut, the female ruler who reigned for about 20 years and presented herself as a male to secure the throne. You will then visit the necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes at the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of the kings of Thebes (ancient Luxor). The most known tombs there include Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II. Along the way you will also see the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous seated statues that mark the approach to the royal funerary complexes. At the end of the tour you will be escorted back to your hotel.
