You’ll start in Cairo, visiting the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx and exploring the Grand Egyptian Museum. As you move through the city, you’ll soak up local life in bustling bazaars that offer gold, silver, Egyptian cotton and a range of unique souvenirs. A spiritual section of the trip takes you to Cairo’s Religious Complex, where you’ll see the Amr ibn al-As Mosque, the Hanging Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Along the way you’ll travel to Alexandria to visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Qaitbay Citadel and the Roman Amphitheatre, and to admire the Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque. You’ll also step back further in time with visits to Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur, and you may watch skilled artisans at work making handmade carpets.
