This tour takes you from Cairo to Alexandria, a city full of history and culture. You will visit the Roman Theater, an ancient architectural site that speaks to the city’s past. As you move on, the Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa—listed among the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages—offers an exploration of ancient cultures and architectural styles carved into an underground funerary complex. Along the way you will see the Alexandria Library, a modern beacon of learning and knowledge. Please note the library is closed on Friday, so on that day you will only be able to take photos from outside. You will also visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress that played a key role in Alexandria’s maritime defence, and pay a visit to El Mursi Abu Elabas Mosque, an important centre of Islamic culture and spirituality in the city. The experience combines archaeological sites, historic fortifications and religious landmarks to give a rounded sense of Alexandria’s rich past and present.
