I booked a tour with Trip Egypt Gold and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The guide, Basem Akram, provided was knowledgeable and informative about the historical sites. However, we were extremely concerned by what appeared to be coordinated commission-based practices that worked against us as visitors rather than protecting us. We had a well-organized and highly enjoyable tour. Basem from Egypt Gold delivered excellent service, keeping in constant, prompt touch with us. Our driver, Mehmoud, was fantastic—we especially loved his ever-present smile and smooth driving. His smart use of translation technology made communication effortless. A great highlight was when he took us to a local spot to enjoy some genuinely nice falafel. Good value for money!

With Ahmed our short visit wasn’t mere sightseeing, it was a wonderful learning experience. We had another guide on our second
