Loay is a great tour guide, knowledgeable about his heritage and the city food culture. It was great navigating through the small back alleys, meat, fish and local grocery markets. Didn’t see any other tourists, so very off beat. A great way to eat what locals eat. Everything from koshary, to pancakes, lamb, different rice puddings, assortment of pickles etc… local coffee houses are a must to visit. Just watching them brew it would make any Starbucks barista blush. Great way to spend an evening in Cairo. Great tour company and tour guide Loay! Fun times!
We had a delightful time on our food adventure. Our guide Nada was friendly, knowledgeable and full of facts. The many foods we tried were tasty and varied,
Nada was a very informative tour guide. She also took the time to give attention to two children that were included in my tour group, as well. I enjoyed the walking a little more than the food though. Not much of the food stood out.
A great way to explore the city. We always find a good tour is the best way to get a feel for a city. Nada was great and informative. A wild city well worth the trip.
Our tour started off with meeting Nada at the Alazhar Mosque in the afternoon. From the very start, she was absolutely wonderful - we felt comfortable and safe in her capable hands, while she walked us through the busy streets, gave us fascinating information about the mosque and the surrounding area, and introduced us to the local food. Word of advice: go hungry! The food was both delicious and interesting. I don't want to divulge all the dishes to allow for flexibility in their tour to change dishes and restaurants. Just know that every dish was tasty (okay..I will talk about one: I knew of
Nada was a fantastic tour guide. I traveled to Egypt with my wife and 2 daughters. Nada, being female, immediately made them feel very comfortable. Nada was knowledgeable with only only the food culture but also historical sites and history in Egypt. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience with her. Out of all the tour guides that we had in Egypt, Nada was the best.
