Black and White Desert Tour 2 Days 1 Night

This experience is a must for anyone keenly interested in discovering another facet of this great country. I highly recommend this activity (including the overnight stay in the desert), not only because of the amazing (often surreal and extraterrestrial, please believe me) scenery but because it is made mostly pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable by Alaa and the members of his team. A well organized tour to White and Black Desert. There is a driver (very polite and understanding man) who will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Bahariya Desert where you meet Alaa, the host. Alaa prepared a great lunch for us and then started the tour to the Desert. He drove us in many picturesque places (we even did sandboarding) and right at sunset we started camping at the desert. This tour really exceeded expectations in so many ways for my family (2 adults and a 15-year-old). Alaa and his team are amazing and the experience is unforgettable. Alaa goes above and beyond to meet all needs! They didn't ask for us to write this review or provide a link. The 5 stars are real. Not knowing which desert tour to sign up for, I decided to join this tour because a friend of mine had joined one in the past and was very happy with it, but it far exceeded my expectations. They provided all the drinks and food we needed, and a comfortable tent for the night (In response to our desire to sleep under the stars, they put out mattresses outside our tent). This was the highlight of our trip to Egypt! The desert was gorgeous and our guide, Alaa, was great. He has been doing these tours for 15 years and it really shows. Communication in advance of the tour was great and we were picked up at our Cairo hotel and driven to meet Alaa in the Oasis. His wife made us a wonderful lunch and then we headed out to the black sand desert and finally set up camp in the white sand desert. Alaa made us an awesome dinner. He told us when to wake up to catch the milky way at its brightest and it was breathtaking. We definitely recommend this tour!
