A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will be picked up from your hotel for an Alexandria Day Tour that takes you to several of the city’s most important sites. Your first stop will be Bompay’s Pillar, constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century and originally from the temple of the Serapes. You will then visit the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery in the area, made up of three levels cut into the rock. After lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria, you will continue to the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient pharaohs’ Lighthouse of Alexandria. The tour also includes a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Along the way you will see a mix of ancient and later landmarks before being driven back to your hotel in Cairo.
