6 Days Dahabiya Nile Boat Tour from Luxor to Aswan

Overview

This tour takes you through the heart of ancient Egypt, beginning in Luxor. On the east bank of the Nile you will visit the sprawling Karnak temple and the nearby Luxor temple. As you move to the west bank by river, you will explore the Valley of the Kings and see the Colossi of Memnon — sites that all date back more than 3,000 years. A dahabiya will then sail to Esna, where you will visit the temple dedicated to the god Khnum, the creator deity. The journey continues to Edfu and the Kom Ombo temple, allowing time to take in each site's architecture and historical significance. The experience finishes in Aswan, where you will visit the main sights and spend time in a Nubian village with distinctive, colourful houses. Along the way you will cross the Nile and travel between east and west banks, moving from grand temple complexes to riverside towns and traditional villages.
