It is a hot, close, unforgettable climb into a 4,500-year-old engineering marvel. Your private Egyptologist explains the construction theories, the internal shafts and why the chamber was left bare, then leads you out across the plateau. You will visit the panoramic viewpoint where the three pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure line up for the classic photograph, and walk down to the Great Sphinx and the granite-built Valley Temple of Khafre at its feet. Because the tour is private and small, you set the pace and get straight answers to every question, with tickets handled so you spend your morning among the monuments rather than in line. Note that the pyramid's interior is narrow and unventilated and not suited to those with claustrophobia or mobility issues.
