White Island & Ras Mohammed — Snorkel Cruise

Two of the Sinai coast's most famous stops in one full day on the water — the protected reefs of Ras Mohammed National Park and the surreal sandbar of White Island. Setting out by boat from Sharm El Sheikh, you cruise south to Ras Mohammed, at the very tip of the peninsula, where the desert meets some of the clearest, richest water in the Red Sea. Here you snorkel over steep coral walls dropping into deep blue, drifting above dense hard and soft coral, shoals of anthias and butterflyfish, and the reef life the park is protected to preserve. The boat also anchors at White Island, a low bank of pure white sand that rises from the sea at low tide and all but disappears at high — a photogenic, castaway-style stop where you can wade in the shallows and stand in the middle of the sea. Across two to three snorkel stops there is unhurried time in the water, with gear provided and crew on hand for swimmers of every level. A buffet lunch is served on board between swims, and you relax on deck as the coast slides by. Hotel transfers are arranged; bring a swimsuit, towel, sun protection and an underwater camera.

   Hotel pickup & departure

   Morning pickup from your Sharm El Sheikh hotel and transfer to the marina, where you board the boat and cruise south toward Ras Mohammed.

   Ras Mohammed snorkel stop

   Anchor at the national park's reefs to snorkel over coral walls dropping into deep blue, alive with reef fish, with time in the water and crew nearby.

   White Island sandbar

   Stop at the pure-white sandbar rising from the sea, where you can wade the shallows and stand surrounded by open water — a favourite for photos.

   Second reef & lunch on board

   Enjoy a buffet lunch on deck and a further snorkel stop over the clear reefs before the boat turns for home.

   Return to Sharm El Sheikh

   Cruise back to the marina in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel.
