Aswan — Day Trip from Luxor

Follow the Nile south from Luxor for a full day among two of the river's finest temples, ending in the easy calm of Aswan.    Temple of Kom Ombo

   Continue to the double temple on the Nile bank, shared by Sobek and Horus the elder. See the famous relief of ancient medical instruments and the mummified crocodiles beside the river.

   Aswan High Dam

   Arrive in Aswan and stop at the High Dam for sweeping views over Lake Nasser and the Nile it holds back, with your guide explaining its history and scale.

   Return to Luxor

   Settle back into the air-conditioned car for the drive north along the river, reaching your Luxor hotel in the evening.
