In Cairo, you'll explore the City of the Dead, a striking area that serves as both a burial ground and a living neighbourhood. As you walk through its narrow 'streets' you'll observe ordinary daily life unfolding among mausoleums and tombs. Residents often use these historic structures as homes, and you'll see small shops and stalls operating amid the tombs, giving a very different sense of how the area functions day to day. Along the way you'll take in the contrast between the funerary architecture and the routines of people who live there. The experience also includes a visit to the famed Mosque of Ibn Tulun, possibly the oldest mosque in the city. There you can view one of Cairo’s early monumental religious sites and appreciate its place within the city's layered history.

The guide Mimmo is very professional and prepared we visited the very beautiful mosque what disappointed us was the visit to the city of the dead where we saw practically nothing. We didn't even get out of the car. We only crossed the street we did not see nor where they live in the houses in the graves I think it was a real disappointment. The visit lasted 2.5 hours The guide to repair this disappointment accompanied us to the. Cairo Museum for 1 hour free .. He was very good and honest
Great experience, we visited the Ibn Tulun Mosque, the city of the dead, the mausoleum inside the latter and last thing visited the military tombs. Mimmo was really a great guide, very prepared and always available to answer any questions, recommended

Il prelievo è stato puntuale,Esat è un autista molto attento tra il caos del Cairo.Mimmo una guida molto esperta,parla benissimo italiano ed è anche molto simpatico. La mattina siamo andati alla città dei morti,esperienza toccante,siamo entrati dentro la "casa" di una famiglia e bevuto the con loro,raccontandomi come vivono. Dopo abbiamo proseguito per la moschea,molto bella. Essendo un tour particolarmente corto Mimmo ed Esat mi hanno accompagnata in un tipico bar del Cairo vecchio a prendere un caffè turco,abbiamo trascorso lì un'oretta chiaccherando delle differenze tra le nostre culture. S
