On this private trip you will visit the Red Sea Monasteries of St Anthony and St Paul, including one of the world’s oldest Christian monasteries. Along the way you’ll drive through the stark Eastern Desert and past the sculptural peaks of the Red Sea Mountains, taking in the dramatic landscape that surrounds these sacred sites. Lunch is included. At each monastery you’ll explore churches, chapels and ancient caves, and see sacred springs and old frescoes that reflect centuries of Coptic Christian tradition. As you move through the sites you’ll learn about their place in Egypt’s Coptic faith and the historical layers visible in the architecture and artworks. The experience offers a close look at both religious life and the remote desert setting that has shaped these venerable monasteries.

It has been such a wonderful and truly unforgettable trip, I loved every moment!
