This Cairo city tour will take you to the Egyptian Museum to explore Ancient Egypt through its exhibits and artefacts. You will spend time among objects that illustrate the civilisation’s history and material culture, giving a broad sense of Egypt’s ancient past. You will then visit the Salah El Din Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, experiencing two of Cairo’s most recognisable historic sites. As you move through the citadel area, you will see its prominent structures and take in the mosque’s presence within that setting. The tour continues in Old Cairo, the settlement that pre-dated modern Cairo, where you will encounter many historic churches and Roman sites as you learn about this older layer of the city’s past.
