Mount Sinai Climb and St Catherine Monastery from Sharm El-Sheikh

On this hiking expedition from Sharm El-Sheikh to Mount Sinai, you will climb to the 2,285-metre (7,497-foot) summit before daybreak so you can watch the sunrise from the mountaintop. As dawn breaks, the first light will fall across the small chapel and mosque at the peak, creating a memorable view as you take in the high desert landscape. After your descent, you will visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, the 6th-century site believed to be where Moses encountered the Burning Bush. Inside the world's oldest continually operating monastery you will see collections of Christian art and historic artifacts and learn about the long religious history of the place. Round-trip transportation from Sharm El-Sheikh is included, with pickup and drop-off at your Sharm El-Sheikh hotel. You can also choose to add a camel ride for an extra fee.
