You will spend the day at Saqqara visiting the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest Egyptian pyramid, both from outside and inside. Along the way you will have the opportunity to gather a large amount of knowledge about ancient Egyptian history and culture. Inside the structures you will see walls written in hieroglyphic language and well-decorated surfaces. You will also explore many tombs and other pyramids at Saqqara, including the tombs of Kagemni and Ti, and the pyramid of King Unas from the Old Kingdom. As you move through these ancient sites, the carved and painted walls will be a central feature of what you see and learn.
