This Cairo tour brings together important Christian and Islamic sites in one day. You’ll visit the Citadel of Saladin, a notable Islamic fortress, and see the famous mosque of King Mohamed Ali within its walls. These sites offer strong examples of Cairo’s historic Islamic architecture. You’ll then head to Coptic Cairo to explore early Christian landmarks, including the church dedicated to Segius and Backus (the Cavern Church), the Old Synagogue, the Old Fortress of Papillon and the Hanging Church. Along the way you’ll see a range of religious and historical highlights that reflect Egypt’s multi‑faith heritage. At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
