For nearly 500 years, ancient Egyptian pharaohs had their tombs built here – there are 63 in total, including the famous resting place of Tutankhamun. You'll stop off at Hatshepsut Temple before you reach the Colossi of Memnon. These two 60-foot stone statues have stood for more than 3,000 years.
