On this one-day tour you will move through Egypt’s history, beginning at the Egyptian Museum where more than 125,000 artifacts are displayed. As you explore the museum, you will see objects that connect you to the pharaonic past and the later periods that shaped the country. You will then visit the Babylon Fortress, associated with the Greek, Roman and Christian periods, before finishing among Cairo’s Islamic monuments. At the Salah El-Din Citadel you will view its commanding presence and then visit the Muhammad Ali alabaster mosque. Along the way you will also experience local life in the Khan Elkhalili bazaar, where streets and stalls reflect the city’s everyday rhythms.
