This tour takes you to the Siwa Shali Oasis, an area rich in Pharaonic and Roman archaeological sites. You will see the Temple of Jupiter Amun and the Temple of the Treasury, and visit the Mountain of the Dead with Pharaonic tombs dating back to the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty. The site also includes the base where Alexander the Great was crowned. You will also visit Siwa Salt Lake, known for its clear blue colour and its high salt content. You will then explore the White Desert, where huge chalk formations rise from the sand like natural sculptures. Wind and weather have carved rocks into shapes that resemble a bird, various animals, a Sphinx-like figure, a human form, a tree and a canopy. Along the way you will experience the striking geological contrasts between the oases and the desert landscapes.
