This experience covers the major sights of Cairo and Giza, bringing together ancient landmarks and later cultural highlights. It follows a logical route through the city so you will see the most iconic places without missing the different eras of Egyptian history. On the first day you will visit the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, explore Sakkara with The Step Pyramid, and see Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. Along the way you will learn about these ancient sites and their place in Egypt’s past. You will also visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses 125,000 antiquities, and explore Egypt’s Islamic and Christian culture by visiting Coptic churches, the Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Saladin Citadel. The experience finishes with a walk around Islamic Cairo and time for shopping in Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, where you can absorb the atmosphere and local trades.
