On this one-day tour from Cairo to Alexandria you will explore the city's mix of ancient sights and modern landmarks. As you move through Alexandria you will see the Qaitbay Citadel on the Mediterranean coast, visit the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina and walk among the remains of the Roman Amphitheatre. Along the way the places you stop at will illustrate different periods of the city's long history. A local guide will explain the historical significance of each monument and provide context as you go. The tour emphasises safety, comfort and a genuine experience, so the visit is intended to be straightforward and hassle-free. Note that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is closed on Fridays; if your visit falls on that day you will be able to photograph the library from outside only.

We booked a car-and-driver-only trip to Alexandria. The driver arrived on time, which we appreciated. However, upon arrival we discovered he had picked up the wrong guests because he did not confirm names. We had to involve hotel staff to contact the company and arrange a swap at a meeting point. This caused unnecessary confusion and delayed the start of our trip. During the tour, we were told that the Alexandria Museum and the library were closed and that we would not be able to enter the mosque. However, the driver still took us to the mosque and the library to take photos outside. We later
Im very disappointed with the service today: 1. You informed us that bottled water is included, however driver insists it’s not. We bought our own as a result. It’s the second time I. Booked with you wherein water is not provided. 2. You did not mention to us that the Library of Alexandria is closed on Fridays, and still proceeded with our booking even though the itinerary says otherwise. 3. We barely spent time on the Mosque. 2 minutes. Because of Ramadan. If everything is short handed today, why even bother booking. 4. We spentONLY 40 minutes each on the citadel, catacomb, andthe ampitheatre
Overall the tour was good, filled with details of Egyptian history. Our guide Reem is very knowledgeable and helpful with meeting our needs. The driver Belal met us on time and we had a pleasant ride.
This is a fantastic way to see Alexandria if you are staying in Cairo and don’t have enough time to spend a few days in Alexandria. Our driver, Peter, was extremely helpful and even helped us get our luggage moved to our new hotel before we headed up to the coast. Once we got there, our guide Sharee took us on an incredible tour across the city, showing us incredible Greco-Roman sites colored by Egyptian culture. She was so good with my grandparents and allowed us to go at our own pace. Highly recommend!
Be prepared for a long drive to Alexandria from Cairo. Very interesting sights, get to go in the catacombs. Modern library. Places weren't too busy. Guide had lots of history and very knowledgeable.
It was a great day, the only misd was the library as it was closed but we were able to miss the crowds. The guide was terrific !
