Przegląd
The Straits of Tiran, where the Gulf of Aqaba narrows between Sinai and the island of Tiran, hold some of Sharm's best-known reefs, and this full day sails out to snorkel and dive them. You board at the marina and cruise across the strait, anchoring over a run of four reefs – Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas and Gordon – that rise from deep water in bands of coral. Snorkellers float over the shallow reef tops, where the colour and fish life sit just below the surface; certified divers can add guided dives along the reef walls, and beginners can try an introductory dive with an instructor. Between stops the boat repositions while lunch is served on board, and there is time to swim, sunbathe on deck or watch for dolphins, which regularly pass through the strait. The water here is famously clear and the reefs drop away steeply, so there is plenty to see whether you stay on the surface or go under. Hotel pickup and drop-off, lunch and snorkel gear are included, and diving is arranged for those who want it. It is a straightforward, rewarding day out on the Red Sea.
