Our trip to Dendera Temple Complex was absolutely unforgettable—and truly a must-do excursion if you’re staying in Luxor. While it’s about an hour drive each way, it is 100% worth dedicating the time. Dendera is incredibly well-preserved compared to many other sites, and you can really feel the history in a way that’s hard to describe until you experience it. The driver was 30 minutes late because he overslept. But the Temple of Dendera was absolutely stunning.

On our first day in Egypt we were whisked away to the temple of Dendera, by a very skillful taxi driver. What a fantastic experience, enhanced even further by our wonderful guide Mansuor. He was funny and incredibly knowledgeable; answering all our questions with great aplomb. He really brought ancient Egypt to life in a fascinating way. If the rest of our trip matches up to this experience we are in for a fabulous holiday. Thank you Mansuor for kicking off our Egyptian adventure in a truly unforgettable way.

This activity is definitely a must when you come to Luxor. The tour was conducted by our guide Ajmed and the driver who took us to Dendera Temple. We requested the tour in Spanish, and Ajmed was able to explain the entire history of the temple and answer all our questions without any problem. I highly recommend this activity, as Dendera is one of the best-preserved temples in ancient Egypt.

The temple is a marvel, the driver and guide are punctual and very pleasant. Highly recommended excursion to a temple that is often left out of the usual tours.
