As soon as I got in the car, the driver said there was a free trial today. I said, "Thank you, but no thanks. Please go straight to the cave church." Karim, our guide was friendly and full of information. Peter, our driver did a wonderful job through hectic conditions. A different side of the city of Cairo and worth experiencing. We did turn down (learned from previous tours) visits to oil and essence shop and papyrus shop which are less learning experiences and more pushy sales.

Very educational and interesting. Driving through garbage city was not a pleasant experience though, but only one road to get you to cave church

Unique experience that gives you the chance to see a kind of reality foreign to us Westerners, beautiful churches carved into the rock. I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning about a glimpse of Egyptian life. Our driver, before taking us to our destination, however, led us inside four stores with the aim of making us buy something: this thing was not requested and liked by us.
