Ahead of this trip, we did add another night in Luxor due to flight times. We also opted for 5-star hotels vs. 3-star. Total for both changes was less than 200 in addition to the Viator booking. We finished the Giza tours the day before so we were ready to venture to the Southern cities AKA, Upper Egypt. For this tour, our driver picked us up at 4:30 AM to make a 7 AM flight from Cairo to Aswan. They were on time and even walked us to the ticket counter. When we arrived in Aswan, our guide, Coresh, picked us up and drove us to the High Dam. It was nice scenery but skippable. Then he drove us t
This was my first trip to Egypt and did not know what to expect from going so far from my home base in Cairo. I was amazingly astonished at how well put together this adventure turned out to be. The date booked for Abu Simbel was on the February 22nd special sunrise that happens two times per year. We toured Aswan, then at midnight the same night, My guide, Sayed made special arrangements so that we could be at ABU for the Sunrise.
