Look out for the two obelisks, ‘they represent the sun god, Ra, and are normally placed at the entrances of temples’, adds Esi. After lunch, you’ll whizz across the Nile by motorboat to the Valley of the Kings – the royal burial ground for pharaohs. This UNESCO site is home to 63 tombs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun – and you’ll get to choose three to step dive into. Built into desert landscapes, these tombs provide the perfect backdrop for those Insta-worthy pics. Next up, you’ll travel through history to visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon statues. As the tour comes to an end, don’t miss out on a photo op of these giant two statues. They’ll blow your mind.
